Evodiaa suaveolens
18 March 2008, Plant
This plant name is Evodiaa suaveolens. We usually called it as Zodia - a plant originated from Papua, Indonesia.
Many people believe that mosquitos do not like the aroma from this plant. So, they put the plant on a pot inside the room. It doesn’t mean the aroma will kill the mosquitos - only make the mosquitos go away.
I put them in front of my window - three zodia plant. I really like the aroma. Its give me more freshness when a light breeze blow over the plant.
No extra care needed, just water well.
From what I’ve read, we can grow zodia from seed or by cutting the stalk. I never tried both method, but I will create another post once I have make an experiment.

I am looking for Evodiaa suaveolens and cannot source it anywhere in the UK. Can you help?
I would like to try them out in Zambia where I live along the Zambezi River - the place is awash with mosquitos.
Thanking you in anticipation.
